Choosing Your Stamp
How do I choose the right rubber stamp?
Choosing the right rubber stamp depends on what you need it for. Small stamps are ideal for names and inspection marks, medium stamps work well for addresses and business information, while larger stamps are recommended for logos and detailed artwork. If you're unsure, our Stamp Finder Tool will recommend the most suitable option.
What size stamp do I need?
A small stamp suits one or two lines of text. Medium stamps are ideal for addresses and business details, while larger stamps provide enough space for logos and branding.
Which stamp is best for businesses?
For most businesses, a medium self-inking stamp such as the Trodat 4913, Colop C40 or Stamp Design 4U Imprint 12 provides the perfect balance of size, durability and print quality.
What's the difference between self-inking and traditional stamps?
Self-inking stamps contain their own ink pad, making them faster and cleaner to use. Traditional rubber stamps require a separate ink pad and are often chosen for specialist inks or occasional stamping.
Which rubber stamp lasts the longest?
Premium brands such as Trodat, Colop and Shiny are designed to produce thousands of impressions before requiring a replacement ink pad. With normal care, the stamp body itself can last for many years.
Customisation & Logo Stamps
Can I upload my own logo?
Yes. Most personalised stamps allow you to upload your own artwork or company logo during the ordering process.
Which artwork file is best?
Vector artwork such as AI, EPS or PDF produces the sharpest impressions, although high-resolution PNG files also work well.
Can detailed logos be reproduced?
Most logos reproduce well, although extremely fine detail may need slight adjustments. Choosing a larger stamp usually improves the final impression.
Can I include my website and phone number?
Yes. Many stamp sizes allow room for business names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses and websites.
Can I preview my stamp before production?
Many personalised products include a digital proof or preview during the ordering process, helping you check the design before manufacture.
Ordering & Delivery
How quickly will my order be dispatched?
Most personalised stamps are manufactured promptly and dispatched as quickly as possible. Delivery times are shown on individual product pages.
Can I order several different stamps?
Yes. Many customers order multiple personalised stamps for different members of staff, departments or business locations.
Can I reorder a previous design?
If you've ordered before, it is often possible to reproduce the same design again. Contact us with your previous order details if you need assistance.
Can I amend my order?
If production has not started, changes are often possible. Contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.
Do you supply VAT invoices?
Yes. VAT invoices are available for business customers.
Replacement Ink Pads
How do I find the correct replacement ink pad?
Simply locate the model number on your stamp, such as Trodat 4913 or Colop C40, then use our Ink Pad Finder Tool to identify the correct replacement.
Can I replace the ink pad myself?
Yes. Replacement pads are designed to slide into the stamp easily without specialist tools.
How long do ink pads last?
Most replacement ink pads provide thousands of crisp impressions before needing replacement.
Can ink pads be refilled?
Some can, but replacing the pad generally produces the cleanest, most consistent results.
Which colours are available?
Depending on the model, replacement ink pads are available in black, blue, red, green and violet.
Rubber Stamp Advice
Can rubber stamps be used on cardboard?
Yes. Logo stamps are widely used on cardboard boxes, paper bags, kraft packaging and swing tags.
Can I stamp glossy paper?
Standard stamp inks perform best on absorbent surfaces. For glossy or coated materials, specialist inks may be more suitable.
How should I store my stamp?
Store your stamp in a cool, dry place with the cap fitted (where applicable) and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
How many impressions will a stamp make?
A quality self-inking stamp can produce several thousand impressions before requiring a replacement ink pad.
Which brand should I choose?
Trodat is a premium choice for heavy use, Colop offers professional versatility, Shiny provides excellent value, and our own Stamp Design 4U range combines affordability with dependable everyday performance.
